Lead prices fell 0.13% to Rs 114.10 per kg in futures trading today due to sluggish demand from battery-makers in the spot market amid a weak global trend.
At the Multi Commodity exchange, lead for delivery this month eased by 15 paise, or 0.13%, to Rs 114.10 per kg in a business turnover of 478 lots.
Metal for delivery in February shed five paise, or 0.04%, to Rs 114.90 per kg in three lots.
Market analysts said besides sluggish demand from battery-makers in the spot market amid a weak trend in base metals overseas, continued speculation that China's economic slowdown and financial market volatility will roil metals markets, mainly kept pressure on lead prices at the futures trade.
