Lead prices slipped 0.54 per cent to Rs 146.15 per kg in futures trade today due to sluggish demand from battery-makers in the spot market amid a weak global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in April fell 80 paise, or 0.54 per cent, to Rs 146.15 per kg, in a business turnover of 2 lots.
On similar lines, the metal for delivery in current month also trading 60 paise, or 0.41 per cent lower, at Rs 145.75 per kg, in a business turnover of 707 lots.
According to analysts, low demand from battery-makers in the domestic spot market and weakness in select base metals at the London Metal Exchange kept pressure on lead futures.
