Leopard caught after being tranquilised

One leopard was caught after being tranquilised this morning when the animal was spotted in a latrine of a house at Kalchini in Jalpaiguri district.

Forest officials said the leopard was tranquilised after an attempt to catch it by throwing nets ended up in a failure.

Nobody was injured and the big cat was taken to a rehabilitation centre.
