Leopard kills cow on college campus

In the second such incident in two days in the district, a leopard killed a cow on the premises of the government arts college in Valparai area today, police said.

The cow was grazing in the campus when the leopard sprang up from behind a thick bush, attacked and partly ate it. It later went back to the nearby jungle, they said.

Yesterday, a three-year-old calf grazing near the house of an estate worker had been killed by the leopard.
