Leopard trapped in Tamil Nadu

An elusive leopard, which had killed many domestic animals over a past few days near Gadananadhi dam in the district was today trapped by forest officials.

A recent attempt to trap the two-and-a-half-year old feline by placing a goat in a cage failed after it went in, dragged the animal out, killed and devoured it.

A different type of cage was then used and the leopard was trapped today, officials of Kalakaadu Munndanthurai Tiger sanctuary said.
