A female leopard was found dead on Monday in a farmland in Regathur village under Nagbhid forest range in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district, a forest official said.
The carcass was spotted by a villager in the farmland of Homraj Shrirame and alerted forest officials, he said.
Representatives of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTC) and forest officials conducted spot inspection and sent the carcass to Bramhapur for postmortem, an official release stated.
