Librarian arrested for molesting minor

A 62-year-old librarian of a private school was arrested for allegedly molesting a nine-year-old girl in the institute in Baramulla district of north Kashmir, a police official said today.

Shabir Ahmad War was arrested yesterday on the charges of molestation after a complaint was lodged in a local police station in Baramulla town, 55 kms from here, the official said.

He said War, a retired government employee, was working as a librarian in the school.

A case has been registered and further investigations are on, the official said.

He said police acted immediately after the mother of a student approached police with the molestation complaint against the accused.
