Liquor smuggler arrested

A man has been arrested and 37 cartons of smuggled liquor were seized from him, police said today.

Kishan Sharma, resident of Bhaipur village in Gautam Buddha Nagar district, was arrested last night by Bulandshahr police for smuggling Haryana-made liquor, DIG Meerut said today.

Total value of smuggled liquor was Rs 1.50 lakh, he said.

Meanwhile, Asif, another alleged liquor smuggler, was arrested and 14 bottles of smuggled liquor were seized from him, police said.
