Lt Governor,CM extend Diwali eve greetings to people

Lt Governor Kiran Bedi and Chief Minister V Narayanasamy extended their greetings to people of Puducherry on the eve of Diwali.

In her message, the Lt Governor said that the festival is celebrated not only by people of India, but also across the world and symbolises the triumph of good over evil and victory of dharma.

She wished that the festival "illuminates the path of our lives and ushered in good health, happiness and prosperity in the lives of the people".

Narayanasamy,in his message,said several welfare measures evolved and implemented by the government had benefitted the people and helped them march ahead in their lives.
 

Welfare Minister M Kandasamy said that the government had been surmounting several difficulties and challenges to cater for the well being of the people.

Ministers A Namassivayam, M O H F Shah Jahan, R Kamalakannan, Malladi Krishna Rao and Lok Sabha MP R Radhakrishnan also greeted the people.
