Lt Governor drags temple chariot in Puducherry

Lt Governor of Puducherry Lt General (retired) A K Singh dragged the chariot of the 12th century Tirukameeswarar temple in neighbouring Villianoor on the occasion of the annual car festival today.

A large number of devotees thronged the temple to participate in the festival.

The Lt Governor later offered worship at the presiding deity.

The temple was renovated and the consecration was celebrated in March this year.
