M A M Ramaswamy elected Madras Race Club Chairman

A committee meeting held here also elected K Balarama Das as the deputy chairman, a Madras Race Club release said.

Earlier, the Annual General Meeting elected a 12-member Committee of Management of the club for a period of three years. Four of the members were re-elected.

The meeting also elected Ramaswamy, Das, Md Javeed Ghatala, A L Murugappan, M Roosevelt and A Viswanathan as the stewards of the club for the season 2011-12.
