Madurai Bar Association members today threatened to launch an agitation if the recognition granted to Tamilnadu Adovocates Association (TAA) was not revoked by the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry within a week.
The MBA would launch a series of agitation starting with a boycott of the high court on March 13, association Secretary J Ramamoorthy told reporters here.
He said the recognition to the TAA would make it emerge as a parallel organisation to the Bar Council of TN, causing hurdles to the functioning of a genuine organisation, and judiciary.
