Man arrested after wife alleges dowry harassment

A man was arrested after his wife alleged dowry harassment, wrongful confinement and criminal intimidation by him, police said today.

Rajesh Kumar, a resident of Mohalla Muftiwara here, was arrested yesterday after his wife Ritu filed a complaint alleging that he had locked her in a room and beaten her up for dowry, police said.

Rajesh was sent to judicial custody today after being produced in a local court.
