Man arrested for alleged drug peddling

A man has been arrested with 4.7 kg Ganja here, police said today.

According to police, Monu (28), a resident of Mangolpuri, was arrested near Udyog Vihar underpass after it received a tip off.

"Monu used to supply Ganja to his contacts in Delhi. On receiving secret information, a trap was laid and he was nabbed. On search, 4.7 Kg of Ganja was recovered from him," said Additional Commissioner of Police (West) V Renganathan.

"During interrogation, accused disclosed that he used to run a tea stall in Mangolpuri area, but in order to earn quick money, he started supplying contraband material," he said.
 

Investigation is on to find out the source of contraband goods and its receivers, police said.
