Man arrested for possessing country-made pistol

A 28-year-old man was arrested after a country-made pistol was recovered from him at the Pathankot railway station, police said today.

Vinod Lal, a resident of Chhattisgarh, was arrested yesterday night while he was waiting to board a train at the railway station, they said.

He has been booked under relevant sections of the Arms Act, Satpal Singh, SHO, Government Railway Police, Pathankot said.

"During search, a country-made pistol along with live cartridge, was recovered from his possession," Singh said.
