Man arrested for sending lewd SMS, MMS to woman

Police today arrested a man for allegedly sending obscene SMS and MMS to a woman.

According to the woman's complaint, the accused, Anu Malhotra, had approached her in a city mall and told her that he was assistant film director with a well-known Bollywood production house, SHO Babu Lal said.

She said Malhotra promised to get her eight-year-old son a role in an upcoming film, he said.

However, soon after he started sending her obscene SMS and MMS and threatened her against revealing it to any one, the SHO said, adding he was arrested following a complaint from the woman.
