A 24-year-old man was arrested for allegedly supplying contraband in west Delhi's Uttar Nagar area, police said on Monday.
The accused, identified as Vishnu Kumar, a resident of Uttam Nagar, was arrested while he was transferring the consignment of the illegal ganja which was delivered to him by an inter-state supplier.
Police have siezed five kilogram of ganja from his possession.
Yesterday, the Anti-Narcotics Squad staff were patrolling on the Vikaspuri-Najafgarh road parallel to the drain, when they spotted the accused with a bag near Shiv Vihar in Uttam Nagar.
Spottinng the sleuths, the accused got into a narrow lane but the squad staff immediately stopped him and questioned.

The foul smell of ganja emanating from his bag aroused suspicion of the patrolling staff and they checked the bag and found five kilogram ganja, a statement said.
A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was registered at the Uttam Nagar police station and investigations are underway.
Vishnu was arrested and produced before the Special Court of the NDPS at Dwarka District Courts Monday.
During interrogation, Vishnu revealed that he came to Delhi from his home town Samastipur in Bihar six years ago. After doing private jobs for a couple of years, he developed some contacts and began supplying narcotics after procuring them from suppliers.
He has been dealing in narcotics for the last three years and was arrested in the year 2017 in a narcotics case.
He wanted to accumulate money as he had wished to fight local body polls in his home town.
