Man arrested for threatening youth with revolver in Jammu

A man, who allegedly threatened a youth with a revolver, has been arrested here, police said today.

The accused, identified as Jasmeet Singh, was allegedly threatening another person with his revolver in Gandhinagar area when police nabbed him last night, a police offer said.

"Singh was in an inebriated condition at the time of the incident," he said.

The accused has produced a license of the revolver but it remains to be seen whether it was genuine or forged, the officer said.

"The veracity of the license will be proved during the course of investigation," he said.

A case under various sections has been registered against the accused at Gandhi Nagar police station, he added.
