Man arrested with 5 kg poppy in Jammu

A man was arrested in Jammu today after police allegedly recovered five kg narcotic substance from his possession, officials said.

The man was held at check point at Raipur-Satwari in the city and during his personal search the police party recovered five kg of poppy from him, a police officer said.

A case has been registered at Police Station Satwari under relevant sections of law, he said, adding further investigation is going on.
