A 25-year-old man has been arrested with around 700 gm of heroin at a traffic signal near Ring Road opposite Chandgi Ram Akhara here, police said today.
"Acting on a tip-off, the accused was intercepted last Friday at a traffic signal near Ring Road opposite Chandgi Ram Akhara leading towards Majnu Ka Tila," Joint Commissioner of Police (crime) Praveen Ranjan said.
The accused was travelling in a vehicle when he was intercepted and arrested, the officer said.

Around 700 gm of heroin, which he was ferrying from Bareilly to be sold in Delhi, was also seized from him, Ranjan said.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to his involvement in drug trade. He was once caught by Bindapur police for possessing nine grams of heroin, the officer said.
