Man attacked by son-in-law, grievously injured

A man was grievously injured after he was allegedly attacked by his son-in-law in Ramlila locality here, the police said today.

The man had come to meet his daughter as she had complained to him about being harassed by her in-laws, they said.

When the man confronted his son-in-law last evening about allegedly harassing his daughter, he was attacked by the accused, Deepak, who also attempted to slit his throat, the police said.

The man was rushed to a hospital in an injured condition, they said, adding the accused is absconding.
