Man booked for 'objectionable' post on social media

A former village head has been booked for allegedly making 'objectionable' comments against a deity on social media, police said today.

Rakesh Gautam, a former village head of Sahulai in Pakdi area, allegedly made objectionable comments against a deity on WhatsApp. An FIR has been registered against him, they said.

The action came yesterday following a complaint lodged by Chandan Singh of the same village , police said, adding investigation has been initiated.
