The Tripura Police has registered a case against a man for his alleged obscene social media post against Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, a senior police officer said Monday.
Superintendent of Police, West Tripura district, Ajit Pratap Singh said that an obscene cartoon depicting the chief minister was posted on Facebook.
"One Rajiv De uploaded an indecent and obscene post on Facebook against Chief Minister. Later it was removed from that account but we have suo moto registered a complaint against him and investigation is on," the SP said, adding that no one had been arrested yet.
