Man commits suicide following quarrel with wife

A 48-year-old man allegedly committed suicide following a quarrel with his wife over his habit of drinking in Naubasta area of the city, police said.

Rajkumar, a hairdresser, hanged himself from a ceiling fan at his house yesterday following an argument with his wife. Police said the body has been recovered and sent for post-mortem.

A case has been registered and further investigations are on, a police officer said.

Meanwhile, 42-year-old Shamsher Singh, a resident of Bidhoon area of the city, hanged himself from a tree near his house following a quarrel with his brother over a property dispute, police said, adding that they were investigating the case.
