Select copra declined on lower demand

Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode prices declined further at the spices market here today due to lower demand from stockists and traders amidst ample arrivals from producing regions.

Elsewhere, black pepper and ginger fell on subdued stockist as well as exporters offtake.

Copra Rajapur and copra edible prices ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode dropped by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 11,400 and Rs 11,200 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 11,500 and Rs 11,300.

Black pepper slipped by Rs 15 per kg to Rs 710/760 from Rs 725/775.
 

Ginger bleached and unbleached moved down by Rs 10 per kg each to Rs 260 and Rs 280 as against Rs 270 and Rs 290, respectively.

Black pepper (per kg) 710/760 (725/775), ginger bleached (per kg) 260 (270), ginger unbleached (per kg) 280 (290), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 11,400 (11,500), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 11,200 (11,300), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 22,000 (22,000), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 13,600 (13,600).
