A 38-year-old man was killed on the spot when a speeding car hit his motorcyle in Link Road area of Sahibabad today, police said.
The deceased was identified as Manoj, a resident of Brij Viahr colony in the city.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Vipin Tada said that Manoj was hit from the rear in front of a private college at site-4 industrial area when he was on his way to workplace around 6 AM.
The body has been sent for autopsy.
The errant car driver, identified as Anil Kumar, was caught by people, handed over to the police and has been sent to jail.
The vehicle has been impounded, the ASP said.
