Man dies after tractor hits bike

A 35-year-old man died and his wife was injured when their motorcycle was hit by a tractor in Uttar Pradesh's Hamirpur district, police said on Monday.

Shivkumar Prajapati and his wife were going to Majhgava for medical treatment when the accident happened at Dhagwan village in Rath area on Sunday. Prajapati died on the spot, while the woman was seriously injured, Majhgava police station incharge Ramjeet Singh Gaur said.

A case has been registered against the driver for rash driving, and he has been arrested and the tractor seized, the officer said, adding that the body of the deceased had been sent for post-mortem.
