Man dies in elephant attack in TN

A 34-year-old man died after he was attacked by an elephant on the city outskirts Wednesday, forest department sources said.

Suresh, a resident of Viraliyur was returning home around 2 AM on his two-wheeler, when a rogue elephant blocked his way and attacked him, they said.

On hearing the cries, forest guards in the vicinity rushed to the spot and found Suresh lying in a pool of blood, they added.

The victim succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital, the sources said.
