A 45-year-old man was found dead outside his home in Chidi village in Rajasthan's Jhalawar district on Saturday, police said.
The deceased was identified as Sujat Singh.
The body has been handed over to his family after post-mortem, Unhel police station SHO Phralad Singh said, adding that there were injury marks on his right temple.
Police have lodged a case of murder against unidentified people.
According to his family members, Sujat Singh slept in the porch of his house last night.
The motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained, the SHO said.
