Man found dead on rail tracks

A man was found dead on railway tracks near Bein bridge on the Phagwara-Jalandhar section, police said today.

The body of the man, aged around 25 years, was recovered late last night, Government Railway Police (GRP) outpost in-charge Pawittar Singh said.

He said the deceased had a tattoo, "Mandip", on his hand.

Police suspected that the man might have committed suicide. However, investigations in this regard were on. A case had been registered, Singh said.
