Man gets electrocuted while putting up actor's birthday banner

A fan of Telugu film actor Pawan Kalyan died of electrocution today while putting up a flex board about the actor's birthday in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh, police said.

The incident occurred in Sapirala village under Chinnaganjam police station limits of the district when a group of five members of a fan club of the actor was trying to place a flex board, Sub-Inspector D Kishore Babu said.

"It seems that the flexi was heavy and while placing it one of the group members, identified as G Ramesh Babu (31), accidentally touched a high-tension wire passing through the area," he said.
 

Ramesh suffered grievous burn injuries due to it and died while he was being taken to a local hospital.

A case of accidental death was booked in this connection.
