Man held for bootlegging

A young man has been arrested for allegedly supplying illicit liquor in the national capital, police said today.

They said 23-year-old Irfan was arrested by a night patrolling team at G T Karnal Road, Bada Bagh, Azadpur on Wedenesday when he tried to flee with his truck on seeing the police team.

Police recovered 101 cartons of country-made and other brands of illicit liquor from the vehicle he was driving.

Both the vehicle and the illicit liquor have been seized, the police said.
