A man has been arrested for allegedly raping his 23-year-old married daughter in West Delhi's Aman Vihar area, police said today.
The victim was married some three years ago to a man who lived in her neighbourhood.
"As per the victim's statement, her 50-year-old father used to rape her every time she came back home. On November 9 again, her father sexually assaulted her inside his house and then threatened her of dire consequences if she reported the matter to anybody," police said.
However, this time after returning to his husband's home on Monday she told her ordeal to him. The couple then went to police and lodged a complaint.
The woman was sent for medical examination and after it confirmed rape, her father, who is a labour was arrested from his home, police said.
