A 23-year-old youth was arrested today for raping a woman for last two years on the pretext of marrying her in the Jind district, police said here.
The 27-year-old victim lodged a complaint against the accused Deedar Singh (23) after she came to know that he had married another woman about 15 days ago, they said.
She also alleged that Singh, whom she knew for the last two years, had raped her on a number of occasions on the pretext of marriage.
A case has been registered in this regard, police added.
