Man held with 2.5 kg of charas in HP

Police today arrested a man with 2.5 kg of charas in his possession near Dalhousie in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh.

Muneer Mohammad, a resident of Chorah in Chamba, was arrested after the police received a tip-off and stopped the bus, in which he was travelling, at Banikhet and the seized drug from him, Dalhousie DSP Sagar Chand said.

He has been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, he said.
