Man held with 700 gm opium

A 24-year-old man was today nabbed for allegedly peddling 700 grams of opium at Shapurnagar here, Excise officials said.

Based on a specific information, one Mahipal Singh, who was in possession of the narcotic drug (Opium) weighing 700 gram worth Rs 9 lakh, was picked up.

Efforts are on to nab his accomplice by name Bewar, who is absconding, a senior Excise Official said.
