A 60-year old man was killed when firecrackers stored in his house exploded accidentally at Thennampatti in this district today, police said.
Kandasamy, who used to burst crackers at temple and other festivals, died on the spot in the incident.
The blast was accompanied with a deafening noise, police said adding investigations were on to ascertain the cause of the mishap.
