Man kills wife, three daughters in UP

A woman and her three daughters were murdered allegedly by her husband who suspected her of having illicit relationships at Bikha village in Puramufti area, police said today.

The incident took place yesterday last night when Kanchan set afire his wife Gauri Devi (32) and three daughters - Tarana (11), Tanu (9) and Tirsa (6) - after locking them inside a room, Superintendent of Police V K Mishra said.

All of them died on the spot and the accused had been arrested, the SP said.

During interrogation Kanchan claimed his wife had illicit relationships with some other men, police said.
