Man's half-burnt body found, wife arrested by police

The half-burnt body of a youth was today found in the municipal dumping yard in the Ramanayyapet area here, police said.

Sarpavaram police said that the youth, identified as Rayudu Hari (32), was a resident of Iswaryanagar.

Investigations revealed that he was killed by his wife, Bhanu, and her cousin, Chandu, after the deceased objected to their relationship, officials said.

The two have confessed to the crime, including attempting to dispose the body by burning it at the dumping yard, the official said.

They had been remanded in judicial custody and further investigations were underway, the official added.
