Man sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment for murder

A man was today sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment in a murder case two years ago.

Additional Sessions Judge Sujana Kalasikam also imposed a fine of Rs 500 on Erragolla Srinivas (35) for murdering Gottimukkula Papi Reddy of Keshavapur village.

According to Additional Public Prosecutor Mahajabeen, there were land disputes between Srinivas and Reddy.

He said Srinivas waylaid Reddy on the outskirts of the village under Elkaturthy police limits on March 9, 2013 and stabbed him.

Reddy was taken to the MGM Hospital at Warangal, where he was declared dead.

Based on a complaint by Gottimukkula Mohan Reddy, the victim's son, Elkaturthy police registered a case.
 

After examining 19 witnesses, the judge sentenced Srinivas to undergo rigorous life imprisonment.
