Man shot at in Muzaffarnagar

A man who was contesting the Panchayat polls here was today allegedly shot at by his opponent at Sikri village under Bhopa police station here, police said.

The victim, Khalid alias Bhura, was allegedly shot at by Naushad due to enmity over panchayat polls, they said.

The injured was rushed to the hospital in serious condition and a case has been registered in this connection, police said, adding, efforts are on to nab the accused.
