Man, son sentenced to 10-yr jail term in Punjab
A special court here sentenced a man and his son to 10 years of imprisonment in a drug case today.
Judge Jagdeep Sood convicted Gurcharan Singh and his son Malkiat Singh, according to prosecution.
A fine of Rs 2 lakh each was also imposed on them.
They were arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Cell of Punjab police for bringing 80 kg of poppy husk in a truck in July 2014.
The two men were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
