Man trampled to death by wild elephant in UP

A 27-year-old man was allegedly trampled to death by a wild elephant at a forest near Haredpur village here today, police said.

The victim, identified as Naseem, had gone to the forest to collect firewood when the incident occurred, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Jagdish Sharma said.

Upon receiving the information police reached the spot and recovered the body, he said.
