An accused from Bihar, who had fled to his state after being released on bail in a sexual abuse case involving a minor girl, has been arrested in his native village and brought to the city, police said today.

Dharmendra (23), working in a factory in SIDCO (Small Industries Development Corporation) area, was arrested two months back on charges of sexually abusing a two-year-old girl in his neighbourhood, they said.

He had obtained conditional bail, but later fled to his native village in Bihar, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, a special police team formed to nab Dharmendra left for his village, arrested him and brought him here last night, they said.

He was produced before the Mahila Court, which remanded him to judicial custody, police said.
