A hat-trick by W Ranjibala Devi helped Manipur post a 4-2 win over Delhi and stormed into the finals of the Junior Football Championships for girls U-18.
Manipur, which has 10 international players, took control of the proceedings at the Rosary Sports Complex, Navelim with Kashmina striking in the fourth minute.
Thereafter, Ranjibala scored three quick goals in 33rd, 35th and 43rd minutes as Manipur took 4-0 lead while going into the half-time.
In the second half, Delhi tried hard to score. However, Manipur mid-fielders Omita Chanu, Hemolata Devi, Premi Chiru and Ranjana Chanu kept control of the ball and denied the Delhi mid-fielders Prerana Negi, Chetna Dhadwal and Meghna Arora any chance to move the ball forward.
Finally, Anushka Samuel scored two goals in the 84th and 90+3rd minute to reduce the margin of defeat.
