Manipur to appoint 4393 policemen

Manipur government will appoint 4393 policemen, state Home Minister Gaikhangam told the assembly today.

Gaikhangam, who was replying to a question by opposition Trinamool Congress MLA Th Shyamkumar, said the existing vacant posts in the police department was 7557.

The total strength of the department should be 33745, he added.
