Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Assembly Abdul Mannan today met Governor K N Tripathi and urged him to take steps to remove the TMC ministers who were purportedly seen accepting money in a sting operation.

"We have requested the Governor to take steps to remove TMC ministers who were seen accepting money in a sting operation. It is needless to say that this Narada sting operation has dented the image of the state government and the Governor should take action so that people don't lose faith," Mannan said.

Mannan, along with a few Congress MLAs, today met the Governor and submitted a deputation demanding action.

"If the ministers don't resign immediately, we will launch a massive agitation across the state to build public opinion in favour of it," he said.

The veteran Congress leader decried the government for taking people of the state for granted while using public money to fight the cases for tainted ministers.
