Purryag, who received Pravasi Bharatiya Samman award at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas conference at Kochi early this month, arrived Arya Vaidya Sala, a century old institution engaged in the practice and propagation of Ayurveda, on January 10 along with wife Aneetah and two security officials.
He was under the treatment of an expert medical team headed by its Managing Trustee Dr P K Warrier, official sources said.
Purryag and others left by car to Kochi early today from where he would go to Mumbai and leave for Mauritius tomorrow, sources said.
During his stay at Kottakkal he had also witnessed Kathakali, the traditional art dance form of Kerala.
Police had put in place a tight security cover at the hospital and outside during Purryag's stay at Kottakkal, the sources said.
