Media should focus more on farmer, dalit-related issues: CPI

The media should give more coverage to the issues and struggles of farmers, adivasis, dalits rather than being influenced by corporate and capitalist elements, CPI general secretary S Sudhakar Reddy said here at the diamond jubilee celebrations of the party affiliated Telugu daily 'Visalandhra'.

'Visalandhra' has played an appreciable role in highlighting the issues and struggles of people in the 60 years of its existence, he said.

CPI state secretary K Narayana, his CPI(M) counterpart B V Raghavulu and several other leaders and prominent personalities participated in the event.
