Medium sugar declines on poor demand

Medium sugar prices declined further at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to poor demand from stockist amid improved supplies from mills.

While, small sugar variety ruled stable in the absence of any necessary buying support.

Medium sugar (M-30) fell by Rs 18 per quintal to Rs 2,362/2,652 as compared to Rs 2,380/2,652 yesterday.

Small sugar (S-30) was quoted at yesterday's level of Rs 2,246/2,471.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,246/2,471 (Rs 2,246/2,471).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,362/2,652 (Rs 2,380/2,652).
